About Us:

Located in Downtown Kennebunk, Garden Street Market is owned and operated by the Bowen family. Parents Dan and Pat purchased the former Shop’n Save from Hannaford Bros. Co., our supplier, in June of 1996.  And we’re proud to say a second generation is carrying on the tradition.

Over the past decade, we’ve increased the size of the store by 40% allowing us to offer our customers thousands of new products.  We continuously enhance our product selection based on feedback from our customers.

At Garden Street Market, taking care of our customers is our first priority.  And our associates are key to meeting that objective. They make customers feel at home, keep the shelves full, bag the groceries, and do all the other jobs that make shopping at Garden Street Market an enjoyable experience. Depending on the season there are between 60 and 80 Garden Street Market associates.

Supporting the community that supports our store is vitally important to us.  We do that in a variety of ways including direct financial support for many local organizations and events, in-store fundraisers, and associate participation in local activities.
